California
and Nevada
DUI arrests spur two separate cases:
(1) the DMV action wherein they will attempt to suspend
one's driving privilege and
(2) the case in criminal
court for driving under the influence of alcohol
and/or drugs.
The DMV procedures are different in California than
in Nevada. In California, an arrestee has only TEN CALENDAR
DAYS to contact the
California DMV in order to schedule a DMV Hearing
to save one's driving privilege from being suspended.
In Nevada, depending on whether one submitted to a breath
test or a blood test, the time period to contact the
Nevada
DMV may be as short as only SEVEN DAYS! Do not delay,
